Kanpur: A video showing a car perched atop parked motorcycles in the city’s Gumti market area has gone viral. The 1.07-minute video is making the rounds on social media platforms. One can see in the video that a four-wheeler is perched atop the motorcycles. The video also shows the driver sitting inside the four-wheeler while onlookers yell at her, hold her accountable, and demand compensation for the damage. After learning about the incident, the Fazalganj police arrived on the scene and calmed the crowd by promising them compensation. After assessing the damage, the female driver gets out of the vehicle and attempts to remove it once more. Throughout this, a swarm of onlookers gathered near the car, yelling at her and demanding payment. Information indicated that a number of motorcyclists were parked in the Gumti market’s parking lot on the side of the divider. Late on Tuesday night, a woman mistakenly backed her car into a line of motorcycles and scooters that were parked, severely damaging four to six of the two-wheelers. Later, the woman acknowledged that the collision occurred as a result of her inexperienced driving. A team from the Fazalganj police station was summoned after being told of her claim that she was still learning to drive. The woman was fined Rs 2,500 for careless driving, and the owners of the two-wheeler were taken to the police station by a police officer.
