Center probing into PT Usha’s “heckling”

The Centre is looking into the alleged altercation that took place on Wednesday night at Jantar Mantar, where some of the people assembled there in support of the grapplers allegedly heckled and physically assaulted IOA president PT Usha. To meet the wrestlers, Usha had gone to the protest location. She had conversations with wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia, among others. Punia claims that the IOA chief promised to look into the situation and pursue justice on their behalf. However, a video that appeared on social media showing her being hacked by some of the spectators as well as the female wrestlers raised questions about her safety. Security guards escorted her out of the area.
