Coming return to the terraces is a lifeline for FC Goa supporters.

FC Goa are unique in that they have two fan clubs — FC Goa Fan Club and East Lower Army, both of which were not hindered by the bio-bubble restraints. The return of the fans has been instrumental in FC Goa’s early season success. But it is what it is, and now we are attempting to return to the stands and applaud on the lads as before. FC Goa’s home record supports this assertion. “In both home games, we have kept a clean sheet and won comfortably,” says Sameer. “ISL has been really important — not just for the footballing aspect, but also for making people aware of football happening around India.” But they will remain with the team regardless. There will be occasional doubts, but despite being Susegad, these individuals will always support the team. And we are trying to get more and more people involved with chanting, that will come,” Sameer says. FC Goa have made a great start to the new season and are currently in third place with a game in hand.
