ALLAHABAD: A declamation contest for the children of Air warriors was held at Air Force station, Bamrauli on Monday under the aegis of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (regional) Harminder Chauhan, Presidnet AFWWA (regional) presided over the function as chief guest. Contestants from Air Force Stations of Agra, Gwalior, Bareilly, Nagpur, Bamrauli, Gorakhpur, Memaura, Darbhanga,Bihta, Tiwari Talab and Bakshi Ka Talaab participated in the competition. A total of 21 contestants participated in the contest. The aim of the contest was to select the team to represent the Central Air Command during the Air Force level contest to be held on the occasion of the Air Force Day.Lecture Dr KN Srivastava, senior consultant surgeon and HoD surgery BLK superspeciality hospital, New Delhi and consultant surgeon to the the Prime Minister and former HoD surgery, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi delivered the Prof ND Tahiliani memorial oration on Sunday. Prof Srivastava spoke on ‘New frontiers and developments in the field of laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery’.
