Delegates from the G20 arrive in Dabolim for the health working group meeting.

PANAJI: International representatives from ten nations came in Goa for the G20 health working group meeting; the first ones to arrive were from Switzerland and the US. The delegates arrived from France, Mauritius, Indonesia, Oman, Kenya, the Netherlands, Australia, the UK, Switzerland, and the US. They were all met at the Goa International Airport in Dabolim by state government representatives, who then guided them to hotels. In addition, representatives from the Union ministry of health and family welfare, including Union minister of state for health Bharati Pawar, arrived in Goa. The foreign delegates will attend the second health working group G20 meeting, which starts on Monday and ends on Wednesday. The early hours of Saturday saw the arrival of the first few delegates. The World Health Organization’s director for digital health and innovation, Alain Labrique, and the US deputy national coordinator for health information technology, Steven Posnack, made up the first group of foreign delegates. The delegates were greeted with music and led by members of the Central Industrial Security Force and designated liaison officers to a lounge that had been reserved for them. After that, they were driven to a resort in Bambolim. Representatives from guest nations and international organizations have also been invited to the Summit. The delegates will debate health policies and initiatives during the second meeting of the health working group. This is the first of eight G20 meetings that Goa will be holding. The G20 summit is a big occasion, and this meeting of the health working group might have a considerable impact on upcoming global health policies.
