Educational reform in UP thanks to ‘Op Kayakalp,’ says UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP), made a veiled attack on the Samajwadi Party on Tuesday by claiming that UP’s “Operation Kayakalp” program was featured in a Niti Aayog booklet as a success story for revamping the state’s primary and secondary education systems. On the table, you will find a leaflet. It included state-by-state success tales. Yogi said, “When I looked at UP, I saw ‘Operation Kayakalp’ and the Prerna portal,” during Monday’s Teachers’ Day event at Lok Bhawan. “Since then, a transparent process of selecting teachers has been adopted,” the CM said, after honoring 10 basic education teachers and eight principals. There were 1.34 billion primary school pupils in the world in 2016. The number has now risen to its current 1.92 billion, and he noted that those instructors who have won awards have a new responsibility: “Now there is competition with oneself. Yogi said, “You must now strive for better nationally and ensure your students perform consistently.” He also launched five portals — Pahuch, Pragyan, Pankh, Parakh, and Pehchan — to address the needs and aspirations of youth. He transferred the stipend and escort allowance to girls of Kasturba Gandhi Schools and to differently-abled children under the “Samarth Programme.”
