Adeeb WalterLUCKNOW: The election campaigning in various assembly constituencies ramped up on Thursday with candidates beginning extensive door-to-door contact. Some bigwigs also threw their support behind the nominees of their respective parties. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje presided over a meeting for the BJP candidates’ campaigning. Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia campaigned for Anjani Kumar Srivastava, a BJP candidate from Lucknow West, in Amberganj ward, while Anjani led a door-to-door campaign in New Haiderganj ward, Narendra Dev ward, and Kunwar Jyoti Prasad ward. Anjani spoke to voters about the development work carried out by BJP governments at the state and at the federal level. Ashutos Tandon appealed to voters to support the BJP if they want development to continue while being escorted by several BJP corporators and workers. Congress candidates, on the other hand, highlighted the pledges made by the party in its poll manifesto during their door-to-door campaign. Manoj Tiwari, the Congress candidate from Lucknow East, was campaigned for in various areas of the district in groups of twenty supporters apiece. He let him know that the Bhartiya Gorkha Kalyan Samiti had offered him help.
