Girl killed by minister’s escort car close to Guwahati

At Panikhati in the Nagaon district on Wednesday, an eight-year-old girl was killed after being struck by the escort car of Assam’s minister for the development of hill areas, Khorsing Engti. On her way to school, Afreen Sultana was struck by a car. She passed away instantly. Soon after they arrived, an enraged mob set the car on fire. While a fire engine was arriving to put out the flames, the angry mob also caused damage to it. According to the minister’s office, Engti was traveling to a meeting when the incident occurred. The escort vehicle had a technical issue, and the minister’s car had passed it, according to the minister’s office. According to Nagaon police, the automobile was following the minister’s vehicle. After the collision, locals stopped the escort car and set it on fire. Unharmed police officers were able to exit from the car, according to an official. The girl’s relatives or the driver of the escort vehicle have not yet reported anything to the authorities.
