SURAT: Several posters for male escorts have appeared in Parle Point, City Light, and Ring Road areas of the city. The posters promise Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 per day with fun to a male escort and also list the woman’s name and phone number. After gathering all the information, we will take action. A senior police official stated, “It is not essential that the posters were posted by members of the ring. It could have been done by a miscreant to harass someone.” Police sources said a FIR would be filed against the accused. Residents in the area claimed that it will be easy for police to apprehend the culprit because many locations where the posters have been pasted are under CCTV surveillance. I observed no one pasting them. Someone must have plastered them at night, according to the security guard of a residential complex. A poster was even affixed to a nearby electrical box.
