Metro can operate till Escorts

DMRC announced on Friday that the Metro has received the mandatory safety certification from the commissioner of Metro rail safety for the opening of the Badarpur-Escorts-Mujesar section, pending the fulfillment of certain conditions. It was stated in a statement that the commissioning of passenger services would be permitted once these mandatory requirements are met. DMRC has not specified the conditions, however. The upcoming Badarpur-Escorts-Mujesar (Faridabad) segment was recently inspected for safety. In April, test runs began on this section, whose energy needs would be partially met by solar power. Metro first entered Haryana five years ago, and with this initiative, DMRC will expand its operations in the state even further. This 14-kilometer section is an extension of the network’s ITO-Badarpur line (Line 6). Once completed, it will stretch from Kashmere Gate to Escorts Mujesar for a total distance of 43,4 kilometers.
