JAIPUR: A two-year-old baby, Rashi Meena, who was suffering from a congenital heart problem called Tetralogy of Fellot (TOF), was recently successfully operated in a city hospital and discharged within 24 hours. The operation was conducted in Fortis Escorts Hospital, which claimed that it has established a benchmark in Rajasthan in fast recovery of patient after a pediatric cardiac procedure. They claimed that it was fastest recovery case of complex TOF surgery. Hospital’s senior consultant in pediatric cardiac sciences Sunil Kaushal said: “With the experience, our team realized a better optimization of our technical resources which could substantially reduce the recovery time.” He said they achieved it by enhancing the operation process and the post-operation care through optimizing technical resources.
