Murder suspect in custody makes a scene outside the court and hurts himself

VADODARA: An undertrial of the Vadodara central jail created ruckus in the parking of the court complex here and even injured himself on the head. The accused was brought to the court for a case hearing.The incident took place when the accused Akash Hasmukh Adaniya alias Muniya Don was brought to the Diwalipura court complex for a hearing. The incident took place after the hearing when Adaniya was to be taken back to the jail along with other inmates.According to an offence registered by Karelibaug police sub-inspector S S Jasani, he was on duty to escort prisoners on Tuesday. He went to the jail and took 57 inmates to the court. On his way back, Jasani was to take 29 prisoners to the jail, including Adaniya who is an accused in a murder case.Jasani has stated that Adaniya and other prisoners were taken inside a police van. Inside the van, Adaniya rushed towards its door suddenly as some relatives had come with snacks for him. Jasani stopped Adaniya and asked him to go inside again.Peeved at being stopped, Adaniya started abusing and shouting at the policemen including Jasani. He even said that if Jasani gave him his gun, he would shoot Jasani. Due to the ruckus he had created, Adaniya was shifted to another prisoner van. Adaniya continued creating trouble there too and banged his head on the side of the bus.Adaniya was taken to the SSG Hospital for a medical examination and from there he was taken to jail again. An offence regarding the incident was registered at the Gotri police station.
