HYDERABAD: A 57-year-old reserve sub-inspector (SI) working as escort in-charge for minister Mukesh Goud died at the latter’s residence in Jubilee Hills reportedly due to ill health on Tuesday. The victim was identified as K Krishna, RSI, from police quarters in Amberpet. Krishna was in-charge of the escort security team of marketing minister M Mukesh Goud. At 10.15 am, Krishna reached the minister’s house at MLA Colony in Jubilee Hills and went to the toilet in the ground floor of the minister’s house. When Mukesh Goud wanted to go out at 10.45 am, the security personnel started looking for Krishna and they called on his mobile phone. As Krishna was not responding to the phone, the police personnel broke the toilet door open and found Krishna lying unconscious on the floor. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Krishna recently underwent a heart surgery and police suspect that he might have died due to cardiac arrest. A case was registered under section 174 (Suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and the body has been handed over to his family members after post-mortem examination.
