Three wounded as police escort truck flips over in Allahabad

Three police officers, including a lady constable, were injured in the hamlet of Saraychachak under the jurisdiction of the Sarayinayat police station in the trans-Ganga region of the Prayagraj district when the police escort vehicle they were riding in flipped turtle. According to Sarayinayat police, the incident occurred while the judge was on his way to Varanasi to participate in a ceremony. Police escorting a high court justice were hit by a speeding car that was attempting a futile overtake, according to the Station House Officer (Sarayinayat), who told TOI that three police officers were hurt: woman constable Sunita Yadav, driver RN Singh, and another policeman named Virendra. He also said that all four police officers in the accompanying car were given a medical checkup. He said the wounds were not serious.
