Union minister claims Dhanbad is attempting to “sabotage” an employment fair.

Dhanbad: Union minister of state for education Annapurna Devi on Tuesday accused the escort party provided to her by the Dhanbad district administration to attend the 6th PM Rojgar Mela scheduled at the town hall of taking a longer detour as it couldn’t locate the venue.Devi said, “The escort party kept scouting the town hall for half an hour. Finally, I spoke to Dhanbad BJP MLA Raj Sinha and he guided the escort party. It seems a deliberate attempt by the district authorities so that I miss the event.”Coming down heavily on the JMM-led government, she said, “It has made a mockery of the education system. At a time when over 90,000 positions of school teachers are lying vacant and higher educational institutions have vacant faculty positions, the students are out on the streets for employment policy. This speaks volumes about the government’s intention. The state government is neither cooperating in smooth functioning of the central schools nor paying heed to the advisory issued by the Union government for the education sector.”Annapurna distributed employment letters among nearly 150 youths.
